Reviews [click links to read more]:
“The brief sex and nudity are shamelessly gratuitous, as is the occasional gore. Arachnia‘s humor and horror are akin to Tremors, but without the budget. And while it won’t keep anyone but severe arachnophobics awake at night, it will amuse sci-fi, cult and horror buffs.” All Movie
“The death scenes, at least the ones that aren’t annoyingly off-screen, are pretty enjoyable and gory, and the most interesting thing about this movie is the use of old school claymation stop motion effects for the mutant spiders and their attack scenes. I mean sure, it doesn’t mesh well at all with the actual real live-action stuff, but at least it’s something different from the norm…” The B Movie Shelf
“Personally, I’ll take decent stop-motion effects over really bad CGI any day of the week. That said, I do understand why my friend and many others would roll their eyes at the F/X because the claymation vibe is unmistakable. And unlike so many other spider movies, I had no problem watching this one because, quite frankly, they don’t even look like actual spiders.” Dread Central
“The spiders were as cheap and fake as you would expect. In fact, all of the effects were pretty bad. But this movie was fun. Sure, the acting wasn’t stellar but everyone gave it their best shot. “Arachnia” was a B-movie and proud of it. The ending takes it over the top.” Doctor Gore’s Movie Reviews
“Nothing here is taken truly seriously. The actors ham it up as much as they can. And the spiders are so fake-looking that it’s actually funny. Anyone expecting an Academy-Award nominee will be truly disappointed. But if you’re looking for a decent way to spend 90 minutes, then Arachnia is a good bet.” Full Moon Reviews
